I think we mentioned this a while back, but it would be a mighty shame if I didn’t remind y’all that Microsoft’s new Kodu game programming system is out, about and ready to play.
Kodu aims itself at youngsters, casuals and beginners, operating exclusively in an Xbox environment and using the controller for input. In other words, this is the game creation tool for you if you’re still scared of everything else out there. It’s high-level and icon based, making it perfect for people who like colourful things.
The thingie costs $5 and is available on Xbox LIVE as a community game. From what I’ve heard, the demo version has a rather oppressive 8-minute limit attached to it, but the system itself is apparently pretty solid. So sayeth the queen spider.
